My husband is a huge fan of Star Trek! My knowledge is very minimal and I maybe recognize a few sayings and characters. When we decided to make him Star Trek themed gifts for Father’s Day there were not many options out there. So I did some research on Pinterest and came up with some ideas.
I first wanted something with the boys handprints. I went to Canva to make the sign.

I then had the boys add their handprints to do the vulcan salute. We used red, blue, and yellow paint. We needed time for the handprints to dry in between each one.

I bought a white frame at Michaels for $10. I thought about decorating it, but ended up liking how it looked plain.

Next, onto the candy bouquet! We found a Star Trek mug that when you add in hot liquids, the characters move from the ship to a planet. So Cool! That was the main base of the bouquet.

You will also need:
Foam (Walmart)
Craft sticks (Walmart)
Chocolate bars (Aldi)
Craft paper, Star Trek bookmarks (Pinterest)
Glue gun and glue sticks
Ribbon
I was going to use the Dove chocolate to fill in the mug, but it didn’t really need it, so we added a “World’s Greatest Dad” tag instead.

Cover the bars in black cardstock and add the Star Trek bookmark and glue the craft stick on the back.

You could use a smaller chocolate bar like Hershey’s and that would work too. I used my glue gun to attach all pieces.

I added the smaller Star Trek quotes to a chocolate and then glued the craft stick on the back. Then, I wrapped the foam in tissue paper and placed all the chocolate into the mug. I curled some ribbon and added that on.

I was pleased with how everything turned out! My husband was thrilled to receive this for Father’s Day! I also learned more about his favorite show 🙂
